Maulana Bashir Farooqi Qadri is the Chairman of Saylani Welfare Trust, which is one of the biggest welfare organizations in Pakistan. But do you know the biography of the man who is behind this whole work and progress?
In recent years Saylani Welfare Trust has steadily grown into one of the most active and renowned welfare organizations in the country. But many people are unaware from the life and profile of the Maulana Bashir who established the organization to help the people of Pakistan.
Early Life & Education:
Bashir Ahmed Polani was born on March 3, 1963 in the month of Ramazan in the city of Shikarpur, Sindh. He belongs to a noble and religious family from the Bantawa Community and his father Abdul Ghaffar Polani was a successful businessman.
He completed his schooling from Islamia High School Shikarpur and then travelled to Karachi in 1975 to pursue college & Islamic studies. In Karachi he got admission in Abdullah Haroon College from where he completed his intermediate education. After completing college, he pursued his Islamic studies from Darul-ul-Uloom Amjadia from where he successfully did his Dars-e-Nizami.
Saylani Welfare:
In early 1990’s Maulana Bashir Farooqi along with some other people started their charitable and social work. Later on May 15, 1999 he established a non-profit organization which was named ‘Saylani Welfare International Trust’. From the establishment of Saylani Welfare till today he is serving as the Chairman, leading all the projects and work of the organization. What makes him more unique is the fact that he works voluntarily for the organization.
Saylani Welfare Trust is impacting the lives of millions each month by:
- Spending Rs. 10 Million each month on different projects
- Teaching 20,000 students each month
- Treating 50,000 patients each month
- Feeding 21 million people each month
The projects of Saylani Welfare are spread across Pakistan including cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Quetta, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Thatta, Samundari & Chiniot. Due to his services President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, honored Maulana Bashir Farooqi with SITARA-E-IMTIAZ.
Istikhara:
Along with his social work, Maulana Bashir Farooqui still continues to serve people through his scholarly knowledge. He is known for offering Istikhara solutions to people through TV program ‘Istikhara – Dukhi Dilo Ka Sahara’ on QTV. The program was aired for more than 9 years with 2000 live programs broadcasted. He also appeared in ‘Aalam aur Aalim’ for one year and as guest on other leading channels.
